La Merced Barbacua is a yerba made with sticks, dried using an artisan technique inherited from the Guarani Indians.
This drying technique consists of a slow and dedicated process in which the leaves are exposed to the heat of the wood fire for a whole day.
The flavor of this yerba is smoky and has woody notes.
Origin: Corrientes, Argentina
How to prepare:
Fill mate with 1/2 or 3/4 of Yerba With your hand, cover the mouth of the mate and shake it upside down for a few seconds. This will redistribute the Yerba. Return the mate to its original position, keeping the contents at a 45° angle. Pour warm water and let it steep. Enjoy!
